Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (BSME) required. 15+ years in mechanical design, specifically related to design and construction documentation for mechanical, plumbing and performance-based fire protection systems in new and existing facilities. Working knowledge of REVIT and AutoCad systems. Comprehensive understanding of ICC building codes, ASHRAE design manuals and guides, and USGBC LEED requirements, specifically for new or existing facilities. Ability to provide hands-on design and design team leadership on commercial, federal, and municipal projects. Detailed knowledge of building mechanical equipment including fans, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, chilled and hot water loops, boilers, motors, pumps, variable speed drives, direct digital temperature controls and building automation systems. Plumbing and/or performance fire-protection experience also desired.
