ECS is seeking a SOC Analyst to work in our Albuquerque, NM office.Job Description: ECS is seeking a Swing shift 2:30pm-11:00pm SOC Analyst to support the IT program at a major national laboratory. The mission of the organization is to develop and maintain a big picture, end-to-end view of operational IT services. IT Service Management tools are blended with best-practice ITIL processes to lead improvements in IT Service Management. The portfolio includes automated discovery, performance and availability monitoring, enterprise and mission testing, a central tool suite with a service asset repository that supports all ITSM processes, including mature service catalog, request fulfillment, incident management, knowledge management, problem management, change management, service asset and configuration management, enterprise logging, and event management practices. The SOC Analyst Monitoring team is staffed to provide performance and availability monitoring and notification on a 24x7x365 basis. System Analyst position provides for the monitoring and notification for servers, network, databases and applications. Daily responsibilities include: Provide event, warning, alert, and alarm processing and management. Detect events collected by the Enterprise Management System across the client site computing environments including all corporate networks and corporate telephone. Monitor batch processing job flows on two corporate networks and monitor that requested batch completion times are met, escalate when required. Provide prompt and accurate response to error notifications (Alerts) Administer and support on-premises APC (Access Point Controllers) - Cyber's Azure Stack private cloud platform that department M&O's which includes patching, configuration, service and incident fulfillment, and capacity management. Maintains the integrity of servers and systems to meet established requirements for service levels, disaster recovery, and business. Provide IT project and service management support & space coordinator space/facilities management. Perform hourly walk throughs of the Data Center. Required Skills: High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience related to the position. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department. of Energy Q security clearance.
