Inventory Mgt Intern

Essential Responsibilities This is an inventory management intern position in support of the Erbe Medical Tempe site. Support the physical and electronic receipt, delivery, storage, and shipment of materials within the warehouse and throughout the site. Receives incoming inventory as well as other items, logs and records them properly, (including as applicable inspection/testing.) Manage the inventory/replenish the stock in the warehouse and at the manufacturing raw material kanban sites, including clean room. Maintain FIFO (esp. Expiration Dating), perform inventory transactions, and conduct routine cycle counts in order to maintain inventory accuracy. Maintain internal reporting of pallets of finished goods. Assist in domestic shipments by generating pick slips, labels, and other shipping/receiving documentation. Perform indirect labor tasks for manufacturing or other departments as required. Support planning and workorder clean up as needed. Support finance by analyzing and reporting on inventory levels. Support kanban and other process improvements within the warehouse and cleanroom areas.  Supervisory Responsibility This position is an individual contributor and has no direct supervisory responsibility. Work Environment This position operates in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.  This role routinely uses standard materials movement equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and materials cart. The position also interacts with machinery on the manufacturing floor, raw materials, work-in-process, and end items. Computer literacy is required and prior experience with ERP systems is preferred. The ability to complete receiving, inventory, and shipping paperwork.
