Perform minor vehicle repairs on assigned vehicles.WHO YOU ARE At least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent Hold a valid WA or ID driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and the ability to operate passenger vehicles and trucks with automatic and manual transmissions Can regularly lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds Have mechanical knowledge and the ability to understand and diagnose a variety of automotive systems Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to operate fleet vehicles, passenger vehicles, and towing equipment, with both automatic and manual transmissions. Two (2) years' experience in a customer service environment preferred Ability to pass a physical examination required by the Department of Transportation. Satisfactory pre-and post-employment screening results, including criminal, drug and motor vehicle screening. The physical environment is typical of a standard mechanic shop space, in parking lots and on the side of the roads and freeways. It requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials. May work around moving objects or vehicles and will need to be aware of surroundings for personal safety.
