Ensure returns in the current year from past business development initiatives.Articulate to the organization the key products, tools, and capabilities required to be successful in meeting aerospace growth goals. Communicate progress with key stakeholders in a standard format, at an agreed upon frequency. Collaborate with the Director of Aerospace, Advanced Composites Market Managers, Chief Applications Engineer and Sales Management to determine strategic business development paths; clearly articulate potential for each path, resources needed, timeline and risks.Develop a comprehensive aerospace business development plan.Continuously monitor market conditions, opportunities, threats and trends through communication with suppliers, customers, Sales Team and OEMs.Research and identify new product opportunities.Evaluate competitive situations and recommend appropriate tactics.Advise team on key actions required to solidify C1 brand leadership in the aerospace market, as well as key supplier/product requirements to build comprehensive offerings meeting key specifications. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to better understand their needs and expectations.Develop robust OEM strategy for C1 solutions/value proposition; utilize C1 internal and external assets to create and amplify the C1 leadership position in all composites arenas.Assist the Director of Aerospace, functional managers and Senior Management with the development and implementation of short and long-term organizational goals, objectives and strategic initiatives created through the business and strategic planning process.Assist in setting operation and organizational strategy.Interact regularly with the Management Team and individual department heads to ensure that the operational and sales priorities are aligned with overall Company direction, with focus on Advanced Composites and aerospace market strategies. Bachelor’s Degree in Composites Engineering or related industries is required.Proven track record of business development or related commercial success and technical skills is desired for this position.Diverse knowledge in composite materials including resin systems, prepregs, tooling products, fiber reinforcement, and enhanced bonding technologies is required.Knowledge/experience with composite processing methods, especially automated fiber placement and tape laying, as well as autoclave and out-of- autoclave processing, is a significant plus. Must be proficient in MS Office software, including Word and Excel; requires ability to learn internal database and software systems, i.e. MXP, SAP. Experience with MS Office programs and applications preferred.Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to research and analyze information and data to identify trends and make recommendations and decisions.Ability to use diverse tools, tactics and techniques to achieve sales objectives.Ability to coordinate multiple and diverse selling options for the organization’s products and services.Ability to learn and understand specific supplier products, processes and strategies to best serve our customers.
