Position Summary A Bellows Fabricator will assist with the successful fabrication of Bellows Forming Components and other Component products, including Parts Deburrer, Material Forming, Reading Prints and use of Calibrated Tools. How You Will Do It Polish and remove burrs from metal parts by using tools such as power disc sander, rotary files, manual hand files, automatic tumbler machines, hand knives and various other necessary power equipment or deburring tools. Set-up and operate hand power tools, drill presses, simple drill jigs, tube sizing, end finish, bead rollers, pull-thru, nibbler, plug size and ring size machines. Set up and operate all shear machines, grob saw, abrasives and bar saws. Set up, operate, and tear down machinery for tube forming, sizing, and bending as well as brake forming. May need to obtain Forklift certification and in-house training to operate crane. Share knowledge with operations and other set-up personnel as directed. Job Summary: The primary role of a Metal Fabricator is to make quality parts required to support all assembly cells throughout the manufacturing facility. Parts will be made in direct compliance to the quality manual and reflect the schedule listed on the most current “Cut-Sheet” provided by the Metal Shop Supervisor. Essential duties and responsibilities include, however are not limited to: Ability to read and follow specification sheets and drawings. Fabricates parts by using appropriate tools resident in the metal shop. Ensures all parts are in direct compliance with ICS’s quality standards. Certified on all equipment resident in the metal shop. Conduct daily safety and operational inspections on equipment being used, recording all information on the form. Alerts Supervisor and Lead personnel if equipment is not functioning properly. Assists Supervisor and Lead person in developing “Cut sheets.” Delivers all fabricated parts to the assembly line, on time, properly marked and within quality standards. Ability to operate a brake press. Assists Line Lead or Supervisor in ordering replenishment metal parts. Uses metal tape measure to verify first and last part formed on the sheer or brake.
