The Utility Operator will follow a housekeeping schedule to ensure that all areas are being cleaned on a routine basis. The Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic will be supporting our Eastern, IN aggregate plants. Duties & Responsibilities: Maintains knowledge to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on heavy equipment and light equipment as required. Performs repair or preventative maintenance on diesel and gasoline vehicles, including haul trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, and other vehicles to maximize safe and productive operations. Typical repairs and maintenance would include work on engines, transmissions, chassis, drivelines and body components, hydraulic, brake, electrical/electronic and suspension systems, wheels, tires, and undercarriages. Reads and interprets equipment condition reports and/or repair orders, communicate with supervisor and/or operator for clarification of defects and discuss preventative techniques with operators to minimize future repairs. Ensure the proper safety incident procedures and reporting processes are followed, bringing safety concerns to the attention of the Plant Manager.
