JOB DESCRIPTION Euclid Chemical is now hiring an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, rigging, welding, pneumatics, various positive displacement pumps, as well as machine trouble-shooting and repair. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, repair and installation as required. Perform plant preventive maintenance program for mechanical and electrical equipment. Test new or repaired equipment to assure satisfactory performance. Modify/fabricate as required using welder, cutting torches and various machines. Keep equipment, maintenance shop, and job sites in a clean and orderly condition. Work in accordance with OSHA and Euclid Chemical safety policies and procedures. Work from ladders, lifts, elevated places, and confined spaces as required. Document work completed; report job outcome/supplies used written and/or verbal. Detail job status as appropriate to operators and management. Submit requisitions for repair/replacement parts as necessary. Maintain parts inventory/shop/equipment files/records. Education/Experience: 5 years or more of maintenance repair experience. High school diploma or GED Skills and Requirements: General mechanical knowledge, including pumps, motors, chains, sprockets, pulleys, v-belts, and gearboxes. Basic industrial electrical and pneumatic knowledge, including compressed air systems, solenoids, limit switches, proximity sensors, and motor starters. Fabrication/repair using welding and cutting torch. Knowledge of industrial control systems. Rigging of heavy components. Ability to operate mobile equipment (forklifts, man lifts, etc.). Ability to read and understand prints, electrical schematics, manuals, etc. Must own required hand tools and appropriate storage for the tools of the trade. Use of common measurement tools and gauges. Basic computer skills, including email and internet. Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical health screen Must be able to pass mechanical and electrical aptitude tests Work with minimal supervision.
