This position involves analytical and problem-solving skills which will prepare the successful candidate for future advancement opportunities within the company and a long-term career with an industry leader!Responsibilities:Complete accurate and timely production work papers for the accounting closePrepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger account balancesPrepare & analyze financial statements and prepare various other financial informationAssist with product invoicing, grain settlements, payroll, and budgetsReview of various accounting activities including merchandising, operations, hedge accounting, and project accountingOccasional travel to plants to observe mid-month and month-end physical inventory of plant commoditiesRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 2+ years of accounting experience (to be eligible for Senior consideration)Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Ability to make sound business judgments in resolving generally understood and/or more complex accounting issuesProficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience in Oracle is preferredStrong skills in planning, organizing, problem solving, decision making and attention to detailExcellent verbal & written communication skills as well as the ability to work with diverse internal and external customersAbility to complete physical inventory of plant commodities by means of climbing ladders and tall platformsAg Processing Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.
