Position Summary: The ClinicalAssistant Professor of Cardiology position will practice in the multispecialtycardiovascular and thoracic service line clinic. This position isactively involved in patient care and teaching medical students and residentsin the ambulatory clinics, as well as the hospital surgery/inpatientservice. Appropriate effort and activity in clinical research and servicewill also be necessary as well as a clinical record of sufficient depth toqualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical AssistantProfessor. The position will work with existing OSU-CHSadministration to develop an operational practice. This position may be splitbetween OSU-CHS and the US Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA). Reports directlyto the Chair of Internal Medicine. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: 30% Outpatient Clinics: Develop an outpatient Cardiology practice50% Inpatient Service: Provide a cardiology service in an inpatient capacity20% Virtual Services Provide virtual services in the Cardiology practice Environmental Hazards: Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry push, and pull 20 pounds,stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and performrepetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.
