Weeks Marine is headquartered in Cranford, New Jersey, and manages a network of regional offices in Louisiana, Texas, Hawaii, Guam, Ontario, and Nova Scotia.LocationThis position is located at our Greenville Yard in Jersey City, NJ.Responsibilities Champion the company safety program and safe work practices in all activities. Assist in preparation and review of Work Plans and related safety and planning paperwork. Evaluate available equipment repair options. Work with Equipment Manager, Superintendents, and Foremen to plan and schedule major equipment projects. Assist in developing overall project logistics including on time procurement. Set and monitor budgets, production goals, and schedules. Work with Equipment Manager and Superintendents to continually develop the company's maintenance procedures and standards.Qualifications Has obtained an undergraduate AS/ BS degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology,Heavy Equipment Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or Construction Mgmt. 3-5 years of experience as a staff engineer is required Must possess a good mechanical foundation and strong work ethic The ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels is required Willingness and ability to work a minimum of a 40-hour work week Mon - Fri withovertime as needed and one Saturday every other month is required Experience with crane, floating equipment and heavy machinery is a plus Knowledge of MS Office Products Experience with scheduling software is considered an asset (P6, MS Projects)Other Requirements: Regular, reliable attendance Work productively and meet deadlines timely Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment Perform work safely and effectively.
