The Graphic Designer (Temporary) works closely with the Lead Designer/ Printing Supervisor and other Communications and Marketing Department staff as assigned to develop graphic design that informs and inspires for print, digital and multimedia platforms or revise existing collateral marketing materials, including but not limited to: catalogs, flyers, brochures, magazines, annual reports, posters, business forms and schedules. The Graphic Designer (Temporary), with keen attention to detail, supports the development of projects from concept to the final design. The Graphic Designer will play a collaborative role in strategic marketing/communications efforts to tell a cohesive and compelling Southwest story in alignment with the mission and vision of the College. Job DutiesMaximized the reach of the organization through dynamic creative that enhances the college's print, digital, multimedia and video assets. Design duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:Charts/infographicsBrochures, flyers, posters, and business cardsCampus signageCreative elements for magazines and other publicationsDigital templates (PowerPoint, online stationery and forms, etc.)Social media graphics, including memes, headers and infographicsConvert designs and print collateral into digital assets,Work with internal and external printers and other vendors throughout the production process to ensure a quality product, as needed;Fabricate signage and other print jobs as assignedAdditional duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsAssociate's degree in Graphic Design or related field; one (1) to three (3) years of experience in graphic design and production; excellent communication, graphic design and production skills.
