This position designs, documents, assists with build, tests and debugs system hardware acquisition equipment designs to ensure customer requirements are met. This position requires multidisciplinary research and collaboration with hardware and software engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. This position includes design of custom adapters/cabling and interfaces to transition existing plant equipment to new state of the art computer equipment. Cabinet layout and design incorporated with needed power distribution, network distribution, network equipment, data acquisition equipment a servers are the primary design components. The position also prepares documentation required by the customer to maintain the system after delivery. This is a mobile position requiring you to work both remote and onsite Your Day to Day Performs hardware design and review in the area of system architecture, network layout, cabinet design, system cabling interface, custom panel and kit design, cabinet power design. Performs data acquisition designs including interface cabling and custom adapter designs Component selection to meet system needs and contract deliverables Participate in the set-up, system modification and system integration and testing, and delivery of our Projects Performs network switch configuration and documentation Performs proposal development and establishing costs and budgets for hardware design efforts, system components, . Position is responsible for technical oversight of all areas of multi-year contract that deal with the energy calculations, standards, policies, or criteria. The Senior Energy Engineer shall have demonstrated recent experience with Government or industry processes, procedures, standards, methodologies, or tools as relative to the assignment. The Senior Energy Engineer shall at least fifteen (15) years of experience in energy engineering (energy systems design, facility energy modeling, auditing, energy studies, commissioning, and validating and executing energy conservation projects). The person shall have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in either mechanical or electrical engineering. The person shall have at least three (3) years of experience in facility energy modeling and have strong background in mathematical modeling. The Senior Energy Engineer must have a thorough background in DOD, Army and Federal Energy and Sustainability laws, policies, executive orders, regulations, instructions, and guidance. Additional considerations will be given for licensed Professional Engineers (PE). Additional considerations will be given for DOD or DOA experience.
