Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder is looking for a detail-oriented Project Manager (PM)for our construction material testing and inspection group. We are seeking a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a team that prides themselves on ensuring their projects are performed to the designated standards of quality. In this dynamic role, the PM is responsible for all aspects of project delivery regarding scope, schedule, and budget. The PM must be familiar with tracking and managing cost, change orders, project scope, schedule, deficiencies, subcontractors, and customer service. The PM will have a supervisory role for a team of 5-10 individuals and, therefore, must be efficient at training, coordinating, and motivating staff. Kleinfelder is ultimately looking for a proactive leader to contribute to the continued growth of our construction material testing and inspection team. Responsibilities: Manage all phases of project execution including: project organization, including resource management/ designation subcontractor management scheduling financial management health and safety stewardship reporting Effectively track and communicate updates regarding project status Lead and participate in technical, cost, and scheduling decisions for interdisciplinary teams ensuring company quality standards and driving customer value Collaborate with internal and external teams to efficiently identify or develop solutions to problems encountered on projects and track solution implementation. Oversee programmatic pursuits, define client needs, address client concerns Write proposals, estimate fees, and calculate quantities from project plans Build relationships on technical and client service teams and within client organizations Communicate effectively with internal and external teams of clients and stakeholders Skills & Knowledge: Experience performing and/or managing the following types of work: Concrete testing Asphalt testing Soils testing for compaction/ density using a nuclear gauge Structural steel/ rebar inspection Welding inspection Fireproofing inspection Familiarity with laboratory processing and reporting of soil, asphalt, and concrete samples Ability to assess and resolve issues and conflicts internally and externally. Understand financial management and contracting concepts. Demonstrate proficiency in persuasive and technical writing. High level of technical competence with computer programs and applications such as: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.) ProCore Aconex Bim360 Microsoft Power BI Familiarity with the field use of iPads Ability to review technical field logs and daily reports to ensure all required information has been effectively communicated prior to distribution. Education: B.S. degree preferred; or equivalent experience and education. Experience: 7-8 years of total related experience, including 3 - 4 years project related experience and knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations required. 1 - 2 years coordination/supervisory experience preferred. Certification/Registration: Certifications or registrations as mandated by profession. Must complete the project manager qualification card as part of Kleinfelder's Project Management Qualification System (PMQS). For new hires being brought into a PM position, the PM will be given Provisional status with up to one year to complete PMQS. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $107,000-157,000.
