Apex Systems is hiring a Project Manager for an opening available with a growing client in Greenwood Village, CO.Onsite Requirement: 3 days a week onsiteDay to day responsibilities: Plans, organizes, facilitates, and communicates activities to promote software releases between test environments and into the production environment. Responsible for maintaining and providing continuous improvement of the Release Management processes, working methods, and tools. Maintains highly accurate tracking of code releases and system maintenance for all environments to ensure environments are kept in alignment and to provide accurate metrics.Ensures that functional testing was passed in a lower environment prior to release into a managed environment, and that the Production deployment procedures are practiced in a similar, lower environment.Provides communications necessary for a successful deployment, communicates release results when outcome deviates from the plan, and maintains a Release Calendar, in accordance with each Program's Communication Plan.Actively monitors Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Tests deployment progress and ensures Release Analyst availability if needed for escalation on Production deployments.Ensures that Release Retrospective is conducted for release windows that are significantly exceeded or completed unsuccessfully and that root cause and appropriate corrective actions are identified and acted upon.Manages Release Management Intake and ensures coordination with the applicable program management.Experience required: 3-5+ years of experience in IT and an understanding of the software development lifecycleExperience as a Project Manager, Program Manager, Release Manager, or Scrum Master Experience with Jira and Confluence Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and highly focused to deliver timely results and positively influence outcomes.Team player and strong critical thinking skills Customer service mindset with the ability to appropriately balance risk with service delivery expectations.Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously in an extremely fast-paced, demanding and dynamic setting.Adaptable - effectively able to respond to the evolving challenges and diverse situations in the Operations ecosystem.Active listening and problem solving.Upbeat and positive personality.
