Overview:
Incorporated in Texas in 1966, Bo-Mac originally focused on providing civil, pipeline and other construction services for the petroleum exploration industry. In 1974, pile driving capability was added and our primary market expanded to include construction related to the oil and gas refining industry and the petrochemical processing industry. Asphalt manufacturing and paving capabilities were added in 1985 with service primarily to the Texas Department of Transportation. Expansion continued in 1989 with the addition of marine piling and dock construction capabilities.Today, we have the expertise, capacity and financial strength to provide a large array of civil, piling and marine construction services for any size project, in many types of environments and across a wide geographical range.
Safety TrainingSafety Training is mandatory for all Bo-Mac employees. The nature of our industry exposes our personnel to a myriad of hazards associated with construction and heavy equipment operation and marine environments. Our employees must be completely trained in the safe operation of equipment, hazard awareness, and implementation of safety regulations and policies. In addition to new hire Safety Training and Orientation and unique specialty safety training such as “Piling 101”, field personnel participate in weekly safety training programs and additional OSHA and other specific safety training throughout their careers at Bo-Mac.Craft TrainingBo-Mac’s core business of heavy construction includes concrete, piling, and marine operations which require employees with specific craft skills including concrete finishing, pile driving, heavy equipment and crane operators, and carpentry and ironworking skills. To ensure our personnel achieve the highest skill levels within these craft disciplines, our Craft Training program includes competency based classroom and shop instruction from entry level to refresher instruction for our advanced employees. Training curricula is developed internally and in association with national organizations such as the National Center for Construction Education Research (NCCER), the American Concrete Institute (ACI), and the Portland Cement Association (PCA), and Associated Builders and Constructors (ABC) Wheels of Learning program.
