Ability to perform simple mathematics, addition, subtraction, division.Ability to use estimating software and personal knowledge to develop accurate budgets and bid proposals.Ability to develop and maintain positive vendor relationships to negotiate pricing, payment and deliver options.Must be able to create and provide timely, clear, and complete estimates and progress reports to clients and management.Experience with MS Project or Premavera scheduling software, and advanced Excel spreadsheets is a plus.Experience with Hard Dollar, HCSS, Bid2Win or Ineight preferred.Effective written and oral communication skills to clearly outline bid parameters, costs, estimates, and planning.Travels within the region to client and job sites for job walks.Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, engineering, or construction management preferred.Proficiency with excel and word, creating documents, worksheets, and data analysis.5 years or more experience estimating industrial, oil & gas or civil construction projects.
