Job Summary Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment ensuring product quality, employee safety, and food safety standards, as well as regulatory requirements are met or exceeded. Areas of responsibilities include, but not limited to: Plant equipment and conveyors, Production lines, Prep Areas, Dry and Finish Goods Storage, Chillers, Kitchen Ventilation, Fire and Safety Systems, Buildings and Grounds, CIP, and Bulk Chemicals. Supports adherence to the production schedule developed by the Master Scheduler ensuring the highest levels of customer service and production efficiency by ensuring effective and efficient equipment operation and limited downtime. Key Responsibilities: Efficiently operate equipment in a safe manner in accordance with OEM guidelines. Completes scheduled Preventative Maintenance Tasks as assigned. Maintains equipment records and inspections. Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctioning and non-functioning equipment. Maintains Maintenance Shop, Electrical Room, Parts Room, and Production Floor as it relates to maintenance in a clean and organized manner. Maintains neat and orderly personal appearance. Installs new equipment and moves existing equipment. Plans own work by organizing job site, specifying OEM parts, communicating plan to effected personnel, and staging appropriate tools. Maintain effective line of communication between maintenance and operations. Provide current and correct information to the operation's team on maintenance issues that relate to floor production. Assures that Employee Job Safety Accountabilities are completed. Identifies compliance issues promptly and reports to appropriate individual. With QA, Safety, and others as appropriate, assists in execution of action plans related to health/safety to ensure the highest level of compliance. Assist in the completion of GSTD investigations Performs lubrication rounds in accordance with OEM guidelines. Performs other maintenance tasks as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Ability to obtain Full-face respirator certification (we will provide certification program) Proficient in - Microsoft Word and Excel, CMMS, Control System Able to read electrical and mechanical plans Ability to obtain forklift/ scissor lift/ and boom lift certification Preferred 8-10 years of maintenance experience and advanced troubleshooting abilities 2+ years of manufacturing experience; Food manufacturing experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience We ask for mechanics to have a basic tool set. Role and Responsibilities Responsible for the efficient maintenance and continuous improvement of all equipment and facilities ensuring that product quality, employee safety, and food safety standards, as well as regulatory requirements are met or exceeded. Coordinates employee activity to optimize productivity, supports good manufacturing practices including the proper use of equipment and materials, promotes training and development, and attainment of parts, labor, and expenses budget goals. Proactively develop equipment specific technical expertise and perform required breakdown, corrective, and preventative maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Meets with team members on a regular frequency to ensure team members are informed of company, department, and team initiatives, goals, and objectives. With other key department personnel, develops maintenance annual and quarterly objectives.  Ensure their team members are working consisted with department mission and objectives. Ensures department metrics and goals are achieved. Ensure planned maintenance schedule is completed in timely fashion by their team.  Provide input to Maintenance Manager, ARC, and Maintenance Planner / Scheduler as related to maintenance schedule. Monitors production schedule efficiency and equipment downtime, identifies issues and opportunities for improvement, and reports issues to Maintenance Manager, ARC, and Operation Shift Leads. Assists Manager of Engineering / Maintenance and Maintenance Manager in developing annual budget and monthly expense projections. Research and develop recommendations to impact cost of products sold (COPS) by initiating and managing projects that support positive change and increased efficiencies. Reports positive findings as well as deficiencies and records observations and recommends corrective action plans. Ensures team members adhere to all Maintenance Department policies and procedures.
