This position will be filled at an Exempt level 4 or 5, depending on abilities and experience of the successful candidate. **Location** : 3102 Kilowatt Dr Savannah, GA 31405 Relocation assistance will not be available. The candidate must live within the Savannah Distribution Area service territory or be willing to relocate to a reasonable commuting distance. **JOB SUMMARY** This position reports to the Distribution Construction Supervisor and is responsible for contract crews performing overhead/underground new construction maintenance trouble calls and storm response. This position is also responsible for joint trench installation and billing, overhead re-conducting, cable replacement, storm duty, the safety of service crews and their performance in the Savannah Distribution Area. **JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES** Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Coordinating contract resources to ensure Distribution Construction Achieves Safety Excellence, budgetary needs, productivity, schedules, customer satisfaction and quality goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling/planning, attending pre-construction meetings, quality control, inventory and closing out assigned projects. To be effective in this position, the incumbent must work well with and communicate with Engineering and other departments, internal and external customers, builders, developers, joint trench partners, electricians, claims, etc. This job will require an alternate work schedule to accomplish the listed responsibilities. This person will have to work closely with the Joint Trench partners and the Power Services Organization. The DC Coordinator will work closely with region leadership to support their storm restoration plans. **JOB REQUIREMENTS** **Education Requirement** : - High School education or equivalent **Experience Requirements** : - Extensive Distribution engineering and/or construction experience required: maintenance, overhead, and underground construction knowledge. - Seven Years Distribution Experience. - Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel), Distribution Viewer, ARMS, CSS, TCMS and JETS preferred. - Ability to analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, proposals, and project documentation. - Demonstrated Safety Excellence. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** - Ability to manage contractors - Proven negotiation skills - Knowledgeable of the Southern Company Specifications and Distribution Bulletins - Ability to learn the contracts and enforce them - Ability to effectively interact face to face with customers (includes Developers, Builders, Communication Companies) - Ability to motivate and influence others to get work completed - Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks over a large territory - Ability to schedule and prioritize work - Ability to set clear expectations and deliver results within a deadline - Ability to adapt positively to change - Demonstrated support of management initiatives - Ability to resolve conflict using Our Company Values - Effective written and oral communication - Ability to solve problems and remove barriers - Ability to work independently with minimum supervision - Proven decision-making abilities **Other** - Work schedule - Monday through Thursday, 4-10-hour workdays.
