Secondarily, this position will be called upon to provide coverage for Client Administrator and Client Manager desks in emergency situations.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesRegularly review client files at all locations to ensure consistency in file maintenance and work processes, focusing on efficient use of agency management and electronic filing systems.Conduct regular reviews of policy files to ensure day-to-day maintenance, certificate issuance, binding and pre/post renewal work processes and procedures are practiced consistently.In the agency management system (i.e., Agency Insight), review client files periodically for consistent invoice, client, and policy data references to coordinate / facilitate mass emailing of "Breaking News" pieces.In the electronic file maintenance system (i.e., ImageRight), review client files periodically for consistent use of naming conventions and filing protocols as well as pre/post renewal file setup.Test and troubleshoot automated systems ability to conform to standard practices and procedures when issuingcertificates of insuranceand bindingpoliciesWorking with the Client Services Director and Practice Group Leaders, identify group and individual training needs, develop recommendations to address specific areas in which technical and/or process knowledge is lacking and provide group and individual training as needed.Assess individual training needs relative to their position duties to enhance performance and / or retrain those out of compliance with internal process/proceduresAlert Client Services Director of Business Insurance department associates progress and provide recommendations and continuing oversight to bring a favorable conclusion to ongoing matters of concern.Regularly conduct group training classes and provide individual instruction on specific workflow processes and procedures, and provide training for system upgrades and to introduce new software.Assist with coordination of Business Insurance training classes related to general educational topics.Work closely with IT department Technology Trainer and Client Services Director to assist in testing new software and updates they as pertain to Business Insurance department use.Set up and maintain carrier website logins for Business Insurance department associates.Supervise, direct, and develop the skills, knowledge and abilities of Business Insurance Service Trainees, Insurance Associates, and those positions identified as department shared services which include Certificate Specialist, Loss Run and Mail Clerks, Policy Processor and Floater.Conduct associate annual reviews and ensure success of associates by providing appropriate follow up throughout the year.Assess and provide for the resource and training needs of the team.Evaluate performance and provide ongoing constructive feedback regarding identification and achievement of goals and overall performance. In conjunction with the Director of Client Services, determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new associates.Education and/or ExperienceSuccessful candidate will be a service oriented individual with high personal standards and a hands-on work style. This position requires an individual who is comfortable working at a varying pace, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, adjusting priorities often, and managing frequent interruptions.This position interacts with and provides service to a large group of internal associates. The Business Insurance Trainer / Auditor must be positive and approachable, and work effectively with diverse personalities. In addition, the following is required:Successful work history to include 7 years experience servicing property and liability insurance products. Supervisory experience and direct responsibility for trainingothers on the use of internal systems and work procedures/processes preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel and Outlook), and knowledge of insurance brokerage Agency Management systems and Electronic Filing systems in a professional capacity are required.Working knowledge of database structure is preferred.Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and present results neatly, with clarity and precision in oral and written form.Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.Maintain a valid, unrestricted California Life & Disability Property & Casualty License and meet continuing education requirements.Maintain a valid Driver's License & have reliable transportation.Work Environment & Physical DemandsAbility to use computer keyboard and sit in a stationary position for extended periods.Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment.Occasional travel will be required. Travel consists of 3 - 4 overnight trips per year covering areas both in and out of state.Extended work hours (10 - 12 hrs/day) required on occasion due to periods of peak workload.The applicable base salary range for this role is $68,970 to $110,440. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
