Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.We are currently seekinga QA Manager for our laboratory located in El Dorado Hills, CA.The QA Manager manages the facility's Quality Management System including accreditation standard compliance, gaining and retaining accreditations, and document control. This position serves as Quality Manager and is the focal point for QA/QC. This position functions independently from technical operations, having responsibility for quality assurance oversight independent of production and financial responsibility. He/She/They will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions and will be passionate for doing work that maintains quality for the laboratory and develops operational efficiencies.As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:Leading the laboratory's QA/QC and data quality improvement activitiesEnsuring that laboratory accreditations are maintained and expanded as neededScheduling, ordering, evaluating, and reporting Proficiency Testing samples, and leading development of effective corrective actions for any failuresEnsuring SOP's are well written, organized, compliant to accreditation standardsEnsuring that personnel training (demonstration of capability) is completed and documentedDetecting, documenting, monitoring, resolving, and closing non-conformance and corrective action reportsImplementing and improving the QA program and the QA ManualDeveloping and providing QA/QC program training for lab staffDocumenting validation of new test & measurement servicesPerforming and documenting internal audits and data assessmentsHosting and leading external audits by accreditation bodies and clients; responding to any deficienciesOrganizing, maintaining & completing standard reporting requirements (NELAP, etc.)Proactively ensuring compliance to ethics programPromoting a culture of responsiveness, correctness, accuracy, and completenessManaging QA AssociatesComply with Enthalpy's Health and Safety PlanOther duties as assignedYOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
