Job Details:SUMMARY:This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.RESPONSIBILITIES: Checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer ordersEnsuring every position is filled before start-up of production lineOverseeing Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomicsEnsuring all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.Ensuring all workstations have passed USDA InspectionPromoting safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetingsEnsuring accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.Additionally, knowing and communicating company benefits and compensation policies to Team MembersProviding encouragement to Team Members to build the best team possibleCritical ability to perform the human relations functions such as training Retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.Overseeing various processing operations and working with other supervisors in solving problemsKeeping records of reworked or returned productProviding continuous education on the importance of qualityPerforming other responsibilities as the need arisesREQUIREMENTS:Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience preferred. You must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Must be able to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to read and write where required. Must be able to use math as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be able to lift 70 lbs. or more on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.Position Specific: Prefer applicants to have a minimum of 1-year related maintenance experience and/or technical certifications. Must own small hand tools and have a working knowledge of electricity, power, transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools. Responsibilities include observing and learning how to ensure the area is running and producing at the greatest capacity possible while maintaining high quality. Will observe and learn how to work with Maintenance and other resources to ensure the equipment is working properly and meets government regulations and will learn to perform first aid when the nurse is not present. Will help the supervisors and or managers whenever called upon and perform any other duties as the need arises. Observing and learning the above duties will prepare the trainee for the responsibility of being a supervisor over a specific area as assigned.
