Preferred degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Must have satisfactory work record including good attendance. Substation or electrical maintenance experience and proven leadership abilities preferred. Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches and design theory required. Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required: Requires knowledge of basic substation design principles and advanced mathematics. Requires proficient knowledge of systems in area of responsibility. Must be proficient in the ability to use database, spreadsheet, word processing, and applicable software applications. Must be able to utilize PI and other appropriate software products to monitor transmission and distribution system conditions. Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Driver’s License Working Conditions: Must be able to travel. Must be able to change priorities as needed by system operational requirements and respond if emergencies arise. Much of the time will be spent in the substation and office environment with some hands-on work.
