Job Title: Category Manager [Supply Chain Mgmt., Electric Utility T&D]Location: Providence, RI 02907 - HybridDuration: 12+ Months [High Possibility of Extension]Note: This role requires 2 Days Onsite and 3 Days Remote a week.Qualifications:• Must have experience writing contractors for Utility T&D Construction Projects.• Bachelor's degree required.• Minimum of 5 years of Operations Services Buying experience.• Knowledge of gas/electric utility products, equipment, and services.• Knowledge of commercial terms and conditions, business laws, and legal issues.Summary:• This role oversees supply chain management for utility electric and gas operations, encompassing activities like managing competitive bids, negotiating, conducting various analyses.• Developing supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance, reporting cost savings, and fostering continuous improvement among suppliers and customers.• Experienced professional capable of working independently with minimal supervision and may involve providing guidance to other employees.Responsibilities:• Develop strategies for negotiating complex contracts worth millions.• Collaborate with the Office of General Counsel to ensure adequate commercial protection, and lead negotiations to optimize company outcomes.• Conduct market and financial analyses to assess business risks associated with suppliers or contracts.• Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers based on ethical standards and company policies.• Serve as the main point of contact for suppliers in assigned categories.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst to join our team. The SAM Analyst will be responsible for managing and optimizing our organization's software assets, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, and maximizing cost savings. The ideal candidate will have experience in software licensing, data analysis, and vendor management, with a strong understanding of software asset management best practices and industry standards.Responsibilities:Manage the lifecycle of software assets, including procurement, deployment, usage tracking, and retirement.Conduct regular audits and assessments of software licenses and usage to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and optimize software spend.Analyze software usage data, license entitlements, and deployment metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings, license optimization, and process improvement.Maintain accurate records of software licenses, contracts, and entitlements in the SAM tool or asset management database.Collaborate with procurement, IT, and finance teams to ensure alignment between software purchasing decisions, budgeting, and compliance requirements.Develop and maintain relationships with software vendors and resellers to stay informed about licensing changes, negotiate favorable terms, and resolve licensing disputes.Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on software licensing policies, procedures, and best practices.Assist in the implementation and maintenance of software asset management tools and processes to support effective license management and compliance.Generate reports and dashboards to communicate software asset management metrics, compliance status, and cost-saving opportunities to stakeholders.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in software asset management, and make recommendations for process improvements and tool enhancements.Requirements:3+ years of SW Asset management experienceProven experience as a Software Asset Management Analyst or similar role, with a focus on software licensing and data analysis.Strong understanding of software licensing models, agreements, and compliance requirements for major software vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle).Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.Experience with software asset management tools such as ServiceNow SAM, Flexera FlexNet Manager, or Snow Software.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and insights.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing software license records and compliance documentation.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
