JOB DESCRIPTION Duties and responsibilities: Accurately and legibly fill out a Production Report. Correctly set-up sheet travel from oven exit to Stacker, Continuously check for any defect on raw and coated plate. Notify the Line Operator immediately of any defects noted. When material needs to be Held For Inspection notify the Line Operator, QA technician, and the Shift Supervisor. Take and record Second Gauge dry film weights (if applicable) five (5) readings per sheet, a minimum of three (3) sheets per skid. Inform Packers of proper Packaging and Stenciling requirements. Check the machine at the start of each shift, to ensure Safety Equipment is in working order (guards, micro switches, etc.) that belts, clips, rollers, and bumpers are clean and in good condition and that the sheet is being delivered to the Stacker without denting or scratching. Use care when standing on unstables (Roller Conveyors etc.) Keep your area clean, swept, free of spills, debris, and tripping hazards. Perform minor repair and maintenance to keep the line in good running order. Assist Wash-up and Coater Operators during Start-ups and Shutdowns. Straighten bent wickets. Notify Operator/Pressman of bent wickets when you have a jam up. When a job is completed on Presses, neatly band Press Waste Sheets for removal by Forklift Operator. Each skid should be labeled with a skid ticket that identifies Customer, Sheet Size and End Use. Tickets should be wired to band in a manner that makes it accessible when skids are stacked. When a job is completed, or when stack becomes too large, bend scrap sheets for removal by Forklift Operator. Must observe General Plant Rules and Regulations, Plant Health and Safety Rules, Attendance Policy and all published and distributed Standard Operating Procedures.Requirements: Must be able to read, write, and understand a work order to determine the inside, the outside, need for additional passes and for packaging and stenciling instructions. Must be able to understand arithmetic to include decimals, fractions, addition, and subtraction. Must serve an eighteen (18) month apprenticeship.Physical Requirements: Must be able to install skids into stacker approximately six (6) times an hour, each skid weighing between thirty (30) and fifty (50) pounds.
