Electrical Systems Engineer Location Sterling Heights MIAbout the Role:The function of this position is to support the Cyber and Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) section with specific responsibility for supporting C5ISR architecture, technology, evaluation, testing and compliance across the US market and support the delivery of products and services to Ground Combat Platforms.Hybrid or onsite:Due to the nature of the work, this role may require on-site presence up to 90% at times.Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:The following are the key duties and skills required for this position :Develop and manage System requirements and interface allocations including Performance and Space, weight and Power-Cooling, Reliability and Maintenance SWaP-CRaM) for C4I/EW and related systems and enforce across the design team; develop system specification requirements compliance documentation.Manage the development of subsystem-level hardware and software functional design and interfaces.Develop and document verification plans and procedures.Participate in and lead design and integration troubleshooting/Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and problem report/test incident resolution for production, development, test, or modification projects.Develop and evaluate checkpoint and design milestone artifacts and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) and review to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with contract requirements.Perform integration/verification of military Radio, RF, GPS and/or other electronics in the laboratory and on combat vehicles.Evaluate new Cyber and C5ISR technologies for potential use on GDLS products.Provide reports to management on status of projects.Help manage proposal development and project technical planning.Other duties and functions as assigned.Minimum Qualifications / What you must haveProgress Bachelor of Science in Engineering in a related discipline (IT, Communications, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)Minimum of 1 year related work experience.Experience in military vehicle development and integration desiredFamiliarity with military or commercial radios, GPS, EW and/or other communication equipment.Experience in interpreting higher level customer requirements and flowing them down to technology areas preferred.Familiarity with various electrical line replaceable units and the development and troubleshooting of electronic hardware.Familiarity with embedded systems, automotive and military relatedProficiency with laboratory and test/analysis equipment preferred.Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)Additional InformationThis position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance.
