Job Description Activity involves cutting, drilling, and saw concrete on highways, roads, commercial building, or other structures Preparing construction sites, materials, and tools, removing concrete debris Assembling and breaking down barricades, temporary structures, and scaffolding, Assist in demolition activities Work at various job sites/locations based on dispatch schedule Work is generally a loud outdoor environment, and be able to perform physical tasks in the heat, humidity cold, rain (all weather environment) Schedule can be day/night/weekends and or out town if necessary Follows ALL safety and health regulations prescribed by Penhall, OSHA, DOT, alcohol, and drug free requirements Job Requirements Job Requirements Must be safety oriented: awareness of hazards and alertness to danger Must have a minimum of one-year solid experience with: core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting and /or removal using cutting edge machinery and industry leading technology Must be proficient in any or all the following diamond or demolition tools: wall saw, core drill, flat saw, handsaws, ring saws and/or compressor tools Ability to perform tasks in heat, humility, cold, rain (all weather environment) Able to workday/night/weekends or out of town, if necessary Work independently or with a team, as needed. Strong mechanical abilities: Communicate, problem solving, attention to detail, collaboration, observation, active listening Participates in a variety of construction projects that will require, physical strength (be able to lift and move 45lbs or more), heavy lifting, endurance, manual dexterity(hands, hand with arm, two hands and multi-limb coordination), strong eyesight, good hearing, motor accuracy, fine motor skills Comfortable taking a hands-on approach. Have a career-oriented mindset, be able to thrive & willing to learn new task assigned and grow with Penhall (opportunities for advancement available) Fast learner, that can follow instructions (written or verbal) with strong mechanical abilities. Main Purpose: Assist experienced Operators with general labor duties while learning core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting and removal of concrete. Specific Role Responsibilities: Cut, saw, lift, core drill concrete Maintain Penhall Company equipment: vehicles, diamond blades, flat saws, core drills, wall saws, jackhammers and small tools. Ensure inspection, general maintenance, security and cleanliness of all company equipment Job Requirements Experience in labor roles, preferably in construction, demolition, plumbing, etc. Solid mechanical aptitude. Self-motivation, a strong work ethic and willingness to work in challenging conditions (rain, cold, heat, etc.). Ability to lift and be mobile with 45 lbs. or more. Basic mathematical skills. Experience with wall saws, core drills flat saws, handsaws, ring saws and/or compressor tools such as jackhammers preferred. Bobcat, backhoe or related equipment experience preferred.
