About the Role The Senior Systems Validation Engineer (SVE) acts as the principal technical representative for validation activities, developing and executing the verification plans for all consumer electronics programs, ensuring that products are validated and certified to worldwide legal standards and Bose internal requirements prior to product shipment. The SVE is the principal technical representative for the validation activities, actively participating on multiple projects at a time to support completion of testing at global test locations. This includes creating and managing early product risk assessments, as well as developing and maintaining the verification plan. The SVE is responsible for reviewing the plan with the development teams and obtaining their agreement and coordinating of the execution of the verification plan across the Bose Product Assurance Engineering (PAE) functions. The SVE supports the other disciplines within PAE to ensure that all testing and certification plans are also defined and managed to assure a safe, reliable and compliant product. About You A successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills to ensure that global project team members are kept informed of testing status in timely manner. Strong system engineering technical skills are required in the analysis of test results, and for understanding the possible impact of changes of a design across all the development disciplines. This position may require developing new test requirements and procedures as new technologies are incorporated into products and as usage profiles expand. This individual must possess an overall knowledge of Safety, EMC and Environmental & Mechanical testing processes. Strong technical project management and scheduling skills are required to collaborate with SMEs and Design Engineers to drive technical writing of the Verification Plan (VP) early in the project timeline to define the test methodology and acceptance criteria that will be used to approve the product.
