DescriptionSummary:Unit 31 is a 32-bed acute medical surgical unit specializing in renal, stroke and urology patients. Our average daily census is 24-27 patients. We provide care for chronic and acute renal disease patients, many of whom have comorbid conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and infectious wounds. We also care for the acute stroke patient population once they are stabilized enough to leave our ICU. Unit 31 serves a patient population ranging from the young adult to the geriatric. Our goal is to provide exemplary care utilizing evidence based practice and providing thorough discharge teaching to prevent/delay subsequent hospitalizations. Our team works well together and loves our Mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ to our patients.Requirements:Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.Six (6) months experience preferred.Current RN license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Louisiana.American Heart Association BLS – within two (2) weeks of employment  Current NIHSS certification at time of hire or within 90 days of hire for experienced RNs or completion within 12 months of hire for new graduate nurses and maintain certification thereafter.Current Arrhythmia recognition at time of hire or within 8 weeks of hire for experienced RNs or completion within 6 months for new graduate nurses. DescriptionSummary:The Medical Surgical Ortho Neuro Inpatient Unit is a 22-bed unit specializing in surgical orthopedic and spine patients. This unit provides care most frequently for adult and geriatric patients. Primarily elective procedures, this specialty inpatient unit operates at an accelerated pace geared toward discharging patients safely to their homes with same day or next day discharge goals. DescriptionSummary:Position supports the patient care mission of the Interventional Radiology Lab and supports staff flexibility goals by working as part of a clinical team and through effective cross-training. The individual in this position is qualified to provide high quality/acuity nursing care through appropriate medication administration, medication and procedure documentation; cross-train to perform hemodynamic monitoring and scrub assist.
