Position type: Full-Time, Contract Duration: 12-months Location: Philadelphia, PA 19106 As a Construction Superintendent you will: Required to have a minimum of 10 years' experience with construction in the power industry. Required to have 5 years' experience directing craft labor on construction projects in the power industry. This individual provides daily direction and supervision to the General Foremen on the project. Prefer candidates to have 10+ years' experience but required to have a minimum of 5 years' experience with industrial mechanical and electrical construction. Required to have 5 years' experience directing craft labor on construction projects in industrial mechanical and electrical construction. This individual provides daily direction and supervision of the subcontractors on the project through coordinated efforts between all of Client's team members assigned to the project. The chosen candidate will be required to work off-hours frequently (including some overnight, some weekends and some holidays). The schedule for this contractor will be based on project needs and they will need to be comfortable with the flexibility required in the schedule. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be very computer literate. Must be comfortable working in Excel, Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Project. Due to the work location being at an airport, the chosen candidate will be subject to the stringent background requirements including drug testing and fingerprinting conducted by the airport.0 Education: Bachelor's preferred; High School Diploma along with experience stated above will be considered Notes from previous call with hiring manager: They are converting building to a carbon free environment and must be completely by end of 2024 and meet all of the federal guidelines. 2-4 PM's will be supporting the project. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. There will be daily reports (safety, updates, etc). Must be comfortable working in Excel to update tracking on daily and weekly basis. There will be a need for nighttime supervision. This is not yet scheduled, so the contractor will need to be flexible to the needs of the project. Work will be replacing Lighting, HVAC, water, bathrooms, envelope work, etc, so the project will need to work around the needs of those who work in the building. Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. Assist with establishing work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel Work closely with both Estimators and Forepersons to execute projects efficiently Assist Estimators with take-off, dump sites and job trailer set up. Other duties as assigned. Other requirements 5+ years in Paving and Milling and/or road construction 2+ years in a leadership role. Preferably have experience with DOT projects. Regular and predictable attendance. Demonstrate a friendly and business-like attitude towards vendors, customers, truck drivers, fellow employees and supervisors.
