DESCRIPTIONThe Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team aims to provide tools, resources, and environments that support safe, efficient, healthy behaviors and encourage employees to proactively manage their health and wellbeing. To support these goals, Amazon is seeking an experienced and innovative Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to join our team. In this position, you will work closely with the WHS site manager, WHS specialist, and Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS). You will be required to independently evaluate and provide first aid (e.g., for musculoskeletal injuries), advise Amazon Associates (AAs) on occupational and non-occupational injuries, have great verbal communication skills, and be able to connect with AAs, as well as Amazon Managers. You should enjoy learning and applying your knowledge about health & wellness to provide care for AAs on a daily basis. You will refer care to outside medical providers as needed, and learn about OSHA regulations, risk, and analysis. Practical ergonomics experience is advantageous. However, ergonomics topics will also be covered in ongoing training. The OMR will function as a part of the larger team onsite, helping to provide assistance with all first aid needs and support operations as needed. This includes attending weekly associate committee meetings, greeting all new hires for the site, either within a group setting at New Hire Orientation or through one-on-one interaction. The OMR will also participate, as needed in incident investigations and weekly case management review meetings. Overseeing various functional areas, including but not limited to colleague relations, colleague engagement, supporting the talent strategy, and retention, they ensure alignment between business operations and HR strategy, practices, and objectives. Consulting and coaching departmental supervisors and managers, they support the business' vision, mission, and overall objectives. Additionally, they are responsible for performing other necessary duties.What You Will DoTalent DevelopmentSupport strategies to attract, engage, and retain a diverse talent workforce.Collaborate closely with Facility Leader and Director, HRBP to identify talent needs, risks, and gaps.Actively participate in talent review meetings.Assist in implementing talent development strategies; drive or coordinate delivery of existing people leader development programs to address gaps and enhance bench strength.Foster and maintain strong relationships with talent acquisition and staffing partners to ensure hourly and professional level headcount plans are achieved.Monitor and review compliance training reports, survey results, headcount, turnover, and diversity reporting.CulturePromote company values to inform decision-making and facilitate effective change management in a fast-paced environment.Utilize available data (e.g., pulse survey, turnover results) and observations to identify and address potential issues.Advocate for diversity and inclusion through training, representation, community involvement, and employee resource groups.Support and contribute to change management initiatives as a trusted advisor to the leadership team.Support preventative labor strategies to maintain a direct and meaningful relationship with colleagues.People Leader SupportAssist in executing leadership programs related to culture, recognition, and total rewards to enhance colleague engagement.Track progress against metrics and milestones, communicating with leaders as needed and offering recommendations.Address colleague and people leader concerns promptly, involving appropriate partners.Implement an efficient and consistent process for weekly communication to People Leaders and HR Business Partners.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills You Will NeedCommunication Skills: Practicing open and continuous communication, valuing keeping others informed, and effectively presenting information in a clear and concise manner are essential skills.Leadership Abilities: Demonstrating excellent leadership skills, including the ability to facilitate discussions and foster collaboration among diverse teams.Interpersonal Skills: Having strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships across various functional areas and at different levels within the organization.Strategic Thinking: Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically to address complex HR challenges and align HR initiatives with broader organizational goals.Talent Development Expertise: Experience in supporting talent strategies to attract, engage, and retain a diverse workforce, including collaborating with leaders to identify talent needs and driving talent development initiatives.Change Management: Proven ability to promote company values, facilitate effective change management, and advocate for diversity and inclusion through training, representation, and community involvement.Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office computer programs is required for managing data, creating reports, and communicating effectively.Who You AreDedicated to fulfilling ideals of diversity, inclusion, and respect that Macy's aspires to achieve every day in every way.Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 5+ years of direct experience.
