Hiring in Detroit, Michigan Your Responsibilities Successfully Lead Multi-Disciplinary Landscape Architecture Projects Provide project landscape architectural leadership through all phases, including design and technical construction documentation. Coordinate with subconsultants to establish contracts and manage communication and deliverable development. Effectively communicate goals, alternatives, recommendations, and designs related to landscape architecture to the project team, client, and the public. Manage and deliver both discipline specific and multi-disciplinary projects at a variety of scales, monitoring financial performance, project quality and team workload. Perform quality assurance and quality control of project deliverables. Work closely with Discipline and Geographic leaders, Clients, and project teams to deliver projects and problem-solve as issues arise. Personnel Mentorship Collaborate with Principals and geographic leadership to manage, mentor, and guide team members to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Coordinate across OHM offices to promote a collaborative, creative and engaging firm culture. Provide guidance to landscape architecture staff, fostering professional growth and quality work. Provide landscape architecture leadership through all project phases, including design and technical construction documentation. Work with discipline leadership to staff projects and monitor utilization levels. Collaborate with other discipline leaders to continue developing studio best practices and advance landscape architectural practice. What You'll Need to Succeed Drive to deliver high-quality landscape architecture and multi-disciplinary projects in a collaborative and creative environment. Ability to lead project teams through all phases of design. Work collaboratively as a member of a team to support project and interpersonal goals. Professional licensure in landscape architecture. Experience practicing landscape architecture in Michigan and participation in professional organizations. Self-directed and able to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Ability to read and interpret ordinances, statutes, plans, maps, blueprints, contracts. Ability to oversee the production of deliverables at all phases of design. Expert in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Suite. Familiarity with Lumion a plus. Experience working within financial management software to monitor project performance metrics. Hiring in Detroit, Michigan Your Primary Focus Lead and Grow Landscape Architecture at OHM Provide landscape architectural leadership at the geographic and discipline level by working with discipline leaders and other firm leadership to promote a collaborative, innovative and impactful practice within OHM. Maintain and grow a professional network consisting of clients, collaborators, and community organizations to continue growth of OHM Advisors' landscape architecture discipline. Work closely with the local leadership to identify growth opportunities, maintain project quality, and support staff professional development and advancement. Coordinate and work with other OHM Advisors' Principals to advance and integrate landscape architecture with other OHM disciplines. Participate in professional organizations and business development opportunities to expand OHM's working network. Attend conferences and lead speaking engagements to maintain OHM Advisors as a leader in landscape architecture in the Michigan market. Preserve and Grow Client Relationships Actively maintain strong client relationships through frequent communication, developing relationships at multiple levels across the client's organization. Obtains repeat work from clients including through the cross-selling of services. Discuss and describe technical issues and alternative solutions to the client and the public. Coordinate with project managers on project strategies, client interface, contracts, and development of the OHM/client relationship.
