The Stellantis Finance Student Program allows individuals to gain experience and exposure across the many different facets of a strategic enterprise. Within the program, students will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with people who work together as a team to continually think bigger and bolder. Students will directly support our Manufacturing Finance team in one of our Detroit-based Manufacturing plant locations. A large portion of a typical day is spent on the plant floor interacting with various departments in a team environment trying to resolve current operating issues. What you'll do: The Finance Student Program employees will assume responsibilities related to forecasting, the capitalization and disposal of assets and assisting in ad hoc analysis. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting/grant accounting experience, their CPA, and non-profit experience.This is a hybrid position based out of Detroit, MI, with Wednesdays being in office.Senior Accountant General ResponsibilitiesWorking with the Controller/CFO to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closings.Responding to inquiries from managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc. on a timely basis.Assisting Controller/CFO in preparing budgets and performing forecasting activities as required.Assisting in developing and implementing new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.Preparing monthly journal entries and workpapers as directed.Pulling documentation for audit team.Assisting in the preparation for annual audit.Reviewing Cash receipts and posting cash 2-3 times a week.Prepare cash deposit and scan to bank 2-3 times a week.Performing monthly reconciliation activities for various general ledger accounts.Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines.Reviewing of assets, liabilities and expenses on a monthly basis.
