Job Description:?The engineer - supply provides high level technical work and directs others in technical work in the planning, designing, procurement and construction of additions, changes or maintenance to MidAmerican Energy Company's generating units. The principal engineer may participate in the direction of work for the senior engineer, engineer II, engineer I, drafting technicians, contractors and craft personnel. The principal engineer will also provide assistance to managers on higher-level projects.Responsibilities:?Provide engineering services for the higher level planning, design and construction of project additions or maintenance to MidAmerican Energy Company's generation system. (40%) Provide technical project management for all phases of a project including scheduling, design, estimates, engineering specifications, drawings, materials procurement, construction contracts, cost tracking and project cost projections. (25%) Conduct complex engineering studies and investigations and prepare oral and written reports. (15%) Provide engineering assistance to other departments. (15%) Attend training in designated areas. (5%) Provide technical leadership to staff. Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.Qualifications:?Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution. One to five years of engineering experience required for the engineer II.Five or more years of engineering experience required for the sr. engineer. PE license is preferred. Fifteen years of successful industry experience as a practicing engineer with experience performing highly technical work of a specialized nature for the principal engineer. High level of technical knowledge, judgment and capability in the engineering discipline. Job Description:?This position plans, develops budgets and directs both long-and short-term scheduled maintenance outage plans and construction plans. They share the responsibility for the safe, cost effective and timely execution of those outage plans and implementation of major projects with plant management.Responsibilities:?Develops project plans, provides direction and coordinates project activities associated with outage tasks and capital investments to meet targeted time frames and budgets.
