Job Description: The Senior Consultant position is an exciting opportunity within Epiq’s Corporate Restructuring Group (“ECR”).   The Senior Consultant role is a subject matter expert on aspects of the bankruptcy case primarily focused on Matrix Preparation, Schedules & SOFAs, Distribution and Reconciliation.  They can provide insight and advice to the client on their areas of expertise along with Epiq’s services and internal standards. They act as project manager; managing timelines and workflow with assigned case teams, as well as serving as the primary contact with clients, overseeing the client relationship.  Essential Job Responsibilities Supervise an assigned bankruptcy caseload, manage client relationship, report on a regular basis to Vice President and Director regarding case status and any issues that may arise. Respond to client requests for information. Guide client through various bankruptcy stages as relates to a claims agency; including matrix preparation, Schedules and SOFAs, sale noticing requirements, claims objections and distributions. Together with other members of ECR, may be asked to assist in marketing events and seek out upselling opportunities for Epiq’ services. Interact with other department members regarding case specific needs and issues that affect the daily operations of ECR. Oversee case specific databases and, where necessary, report to Vice President and/or Director on ways the database can better serve internal needs. Collaborate with billing department on timely and accurate invoicing, collection of past due amounts, retainer replenishment, prepare case estimates and monitor capped accounts. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university and 5+ years legal related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Juris Doctor and experience in a law firm are preferred, but are not required. Must have strong computer skills and ability to work with data, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Access. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret bankruptcy filings. Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
