Provides continued care throughout the patient's medical journey. Educates and mentors clinical staff including, nursing, residents, fellows, and other healthcare interns and students.This position includes a base salary and geographic differential. The total combined salary range for the Advanced Practice Provider I (Grade 28) is $117,760 - $142,688 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.The total combined salary range for the Advanced Practice Provider II (Grade 30) is $129,494 - $156,236 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.Qualifications:Required Education and ExperienceNurse Practitioner Educational Path:1. License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York; and2. Current New York State Nurse Practitioner certification; and3. Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA); and4. Master's or higher-level degree in Nursing.NOTE:As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) within nine (9) months of their appointment to this title as required by Medicare.ORPhysician Assistant Educational Path:1. License to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York; and2. Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department; and3. Bachelor's or higher-level degree in Physician Assistant Studies; or4. Bachelor's or higher-level degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Certificate Program recognized by the New York State Education Department.ANDThe equivalent of two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park.NOTES:1. In addition, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the supervision and training of FCA staff who perform accounting functions.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:• Manage monthly close process, creating financial statements and reporting;• Analyze financial statements and prepare monthly variance and analysis reports as needed;• Prepare or review monthly bank reconciliations prepared by accounting staff;• Prepare monthly payroll allocation entries in relation to grants activities, as needed;• Perform account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts;• Reconcile and maintain fixed assets schedule;• Performing monitoring work that requires a high degree of judgement in the application of accounting principles and practices;• Prepare financial reports, review of contracts and payroll related items;• Inventory control of accounting files;• Monitor program requisitions, and gather information for outside auditor requests for loan information;• Review and process loan packages for encumbrance requests, set up encumbrances in the HUD system, certify the availability of funds for the encumbrance request, track and reconcile budget available balances between the accounting system and the HUD system for accuracy, and ensure expense eligibility relative to the programs;• Will work in collaboration with BURA and City of Buffalo staff to complete project cost reconciliations;• Will provide customer service to internal/external customers; and• Will assist in all other general ledger functions as required, including posting of journal entries.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Graduation from accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Accounting with one (1) year of non-profit or governmental accounting experience orMBA with one (1) year of non-profit or governmental accounting experienceRESIDENCY REQUIREMENTAs a condition of employment, the appointee must establish and maintain residency within the City of Buffalo during their tenure of employment.
