The Chair will assume primary responsibility for up to 9 credits/year as negotiated by the Dean and Provost. Have an advising load commensurate with administrative responsibilities; advise and facilitate student registration for appropriate courses in the proper sequence. Participate in recruitment and enrollment activities including advising potential applicants and completing transfer curricula analysis for incoming students. Lead departmental faculty/staff meetings, retreats, committees and activities including, but not limited to, open house and/or student recruitment projects. Serve on at least one Faculty Senate or University committee and actively engage in university governance. Work with the Dean and Office of Academic Affairs to monitor, report, and assure compliance with ACOTE Accreditation Standards. Coordinate regular program assessment and evaluation, development of an annual strategic planning, process, and preparation of an annual report. Oversee ongoing curriculum development and improvement. Develop, propose, and monitor budgets and program expenses. Coordinate advertising, interviewing and hiring of Faculty and staff. Supervise and evaluate faculty including assigning teaching responsibilities and advising loads. Review, evaluate, assess and assist faculty with professional development plans. Develop course schedules each semester; coordinate with other departments regarding course needs and scheduling issues. Supervise and evaluate administrative and hourly staff including approval of leave time. Promote and participate in interprofessional opportunities to benefit DOT faculty and students. Monitor student progression, develop and propose retention strategies, and advise students who are in academic jeopardy. Provide information and recommendations for professional development, including the completion of forms and letters of recommendation for scholarships and employment. You will interact and build relationships with school personnel, family members, and other stakeholders working to bring accessible healthcare to students nationwide.What You'll Do:Provide virtual high-quality, evidence based, virtual mental health counseling, and therapeutic interventions to an assigned caseload of K-12 students.As needed, may diagnose, conduct initial mental health intake assessments, and create individual treatment plans according to student needs and circumstances.Conducts clinical screeners and ongoing assessments of student progress.Collaborates with the care management team to ensure a successful transition into Hazel services, and identify and support external transition services.Obtains credentialing and additional clinical state licenses, as requested by Hazel's licensing and credentialing departments.Be an active member of our clinical team by participating in trainings, meetings, and other activities.Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to established guidelines and requirements.Maintains a minimum required weekly availability and productivity levels established by Clinical Leadership.May provide consultative telehealth crisis support for school partners or students, as assigned.

Is responsible for case management for all assigned patients. Conducts individual, family, specialized and group therapy and shares clinical information gained with the treatment team, and with other involved entities as appropriate. Promotes implementation of therapeutic milieu and daily program schedule. If individual has a doctorate in Psychology they may function as a Therapist but must apply for a license as a Psychologist upon hire, keeping HR informed of progress.Two year minimum of behavioral health field preferred, focused on trauma, chemical dependency, eating disorders within a managed care environmentCPR & First Aid Certified. CPI Certified. Valid Driver's License. Driver Safety TrainingMinimum of two year's experience in behavioral health field preferred, targeting specialty services (trauma, chemical dependency, eating disorders) within a managed care environment.Prefer two years' experience providing family therapy, EMDR, sex addiction or other trauma specialist if assigned to conduct specialized therapy.Ability to interact and communicate professionally and appropriately. Ability to effectively respond to customer requests; ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, in a clinically accurate and professional manner; ability to inform patients and families of clinical program policies; ability to work as a member of a team.We are a Drug Free Company.
