CNC Head Repair - Field Service Technician

The Head Repair Technician will initially travel throughout the United States along with other Field Service Technicians (FST), to gain knowledge of the products on which the CNC Heads are applied. The FST's are responsible for the installation and repair of CNC machine tools, controls, and other related machine tool components. After initial training, the Head Repair Technician will work with the Operations Manager to design and build the head repair facility in Huntsville, AL. Once complete, this facility will be used by the Head Repair Technician to service and repair CNC machining heads as needed.Role Responsibilities: Initial 75-100% national travel to customer sites in support of installations, troubleshooting and repair of machine tool equipment and controls.This will gradually transition to less travel over time as the head repair facility is developed and implemented. Once the facility is complete and head repair volume is increased, travel will likely be closer to 50-80%.Attend training in Spain at two locations learning the original equipment manufacturer's approach and find ways to further improve those processes.Work independently at the repair facility inside of our new location near Huntsville, AL.Act as technical support to FST's for head repair/installation related issues.Detect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical components.Use technical documents, internal and vendor resources to research CNC head issues.Effectively communicate head issues and status of head repair to customers and to our builder factories overseas.Complete accurate documentation (Head analysis/repair report) and submit to Service Management and customer.Fulfill customer commitments to ensure complete customer satisfaction.Develop and manage relationships with our machine tool suppliers and other third-party vendors.Take ownership of customer head issues and coordinate with appropriate departments to optimally resolve the issue.Other Functions:Perform related duties as required.The duties listed above are intended only as illustration of the various types of work that may be performed. The roleKey job responsibilities Profile process tanks recording layers of material and reporting to production manager and process department in accordance with AOC' Safety requirement and all other general plant facility policies and procedures. Moving processed material out and re-fill process tanks for maximum production Profile and water draw all trans mix sales tanks. Tanks should be filled and water drawn to allow production manager to schedule load out of trans-mix material. Any trans-mix material on hand must be moved through the system swiftly to allow for maximum production. Unloading and loading of Tank Bottom trucks in a timely and safe manner Maintain the appearance of process area and Tank Bottom Storage area. Clean area daily at the end of every shift Performing all work as neatly as possible Clean storage tanks as directed Ensure good communication with supervisor so no delays in production takes place. Assist pump room operator with finished product load outs, internal transfers and the unloading of trucks as needed. Assist the sludge process technician with all duties as needed. Employee will have zero recordable injuries by the next appraisal date as measured by the OSHA 300 log. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor as may be necessary.
