The coordinator must be knowledgeable of the pathophysiological sequela of brain death. Identifies organ and tissue-specific and behavioral risk factors utilizing all available resources.Clinical Management: Preserves organs and tissue according to LNH and national standards to ensure maximum viability for transplantation. Ensures that the legal next-of-kin (NOK) is provided the option of organ and tissue donation in a sensitive and compassionate manner.
