ResponsibilitiesServe as a key member of a high performing and collaborative R&D team.Plan and conduct experiments to test, prove, or modify conceptual designs of new or enhanced existing hydraulic products.Use experimental methods to diagnose dynamic challenges in new or to enhance existing hydraulic products and systems.Perform acoustic analysis of hydraulic systems, or system hydraulic analysis as a foundation for acoustic investigations.Utilize sound engineering theory to identify data trends and indicators to isolate and diagnose structural vibratory responses.Provide design recommendations based on acoustic and/or hydraulics system analysis and test data.Research, develop, and manage structureborne and fluidborne vibrations in hydraulic products, focused on identification and motion control methods to optimize dynamic responses.Define complex problems in a limited scope for investigation, drawing valid conclusions based on data and facts, and communicate results in clear simple terms to the R&D team and management.Collaborate with the R&D team on new concepts, designs, and test plans with proper application of engineering, hydraulics, and acoustic principles.Extend experimental lessons learned to develop design rules and best practices for design and production use.Perform engineering analysis (hydraulic, acoustic, fluid theory, stress, FEA, etc.) for new product development and/or sustaining production of existing designs.Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Physics, Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Acoustics or Hydraulics Systems/dynamics Engineering, OR actively pursuing a graduate level degree in these Engineering fields and focus – with completion of all relevant degree coursework.
