JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a Centralized Loan Accountant to join our Farm Credit family! This position will ensure all work submitted from branches offices is processed in a timely manner each day. Work should be balanced at the end of the day and assigned reports completed in a timely manner. The Centralized Loan Accountant will complete a variety of accounting and other duties that include maintaining accurate and complete records, researching problems and recommending solutions, and supporting the accounting team as needed. **Please note that the location is flexible for this position. Responsibilities: Loan Processing and Maintenance: Support the accounting team by ensuring Daily Work is accurately maintained and stored in imaging system within three business days. Enter PeopleSoft journals daily. All loans submitted for booking are processed along with the disbursement check and any related payoffs and refinances are keyed by the cutoff time. Ensure data entry errors and suspense balances are kept to a minimum and corrected on the next business day. Reporting and Reconcilement: Monitor key reports daily for errors and coordinates corrections with location/branch staff. Monitor assigned special reports and takes corrective action when needed. Reconcile any differences and coordinate corrections with Loan Operations Manager or the branch location. Other Duties: Completes other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may include specific projects. Requirements: Education and/or experience equivalent to a high school diploma 3-5 years of finance, loan processing, accounting, or administrative work Good knowledge of general office routine and use of office equipment, including phones, computers, copiers, and scanners Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization Self-motivated, with the ability and desire to learn and willingness to apply new procedures and concepts Ability to work independently and as a team member under minimal supervision.
