Receive and follow work schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures. Assist in organizing, planning and directing the medical records department in accordance with established policies and procedures. Assist the Medical Records/Health Information Consultant as required. Maintain minutes of meetings. File as necessary. Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility, to assure that medical records can be properly maintained. Files information such as nurses' notes, resident assessments, progress notes, laboratory reports, x ray results, correspondence, etc., into resident charts. Collect, assemble, check and file resident charts as required. Assist MDS Coordinator in scheduling assessments in accordance with current facility and OBRA guidelines. Ensure incomplete records/charts are returned to appropriate departments or personnel for correction. Assist in developing procedures to ensure resident records are properly completed, assembled, coded, signed, indexed, etc., before filing. Establish a procedure to ensure resident charts/records do not leave the medical records room except as authorized in our policies and procedures. Maintain a record of authorized information released from charts/records, i.e., type information, name of recipient, date, department, etc. Abstract information from records as authorized/required for insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, VA, etc. in accordance with current Privacy Rules. Index medical records as directed by the medical records/health information consultant. Maintain various registries as directed including register for admission and discharge of residents. Transcribe and type reports for physicians as necessary. Collect charts, assemble them in proper order, and inspect them for completion. Pick up and deliver resident medical records from wards, nurses' stations, and other designated areas as necessary. Batch resident information into the computer and retrieve resident demographic information as appropriate or as instructed. Answer telephone inquiries concerning medical records functions. Prepare written correspondence as necessary. Retrieve medical records when requested by authorized personnel (i.e., physicians, nurses, government agencies and personnel, etc.) Assure that medical records taken from the department are signed out and signed in upon return to the department. File active and inactive records in accordance with established policies. Index medical records as directed. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:Under direction of the COO, this position is responsible for the effective management of operations for the Residential Program, to include all operating cottages, overseeing staff and monitoring clientele. The Director of Residential Services is fully responsible for the operational aspects of the programs, to include supervision of the scheduling for each program, hiring, supervising, and training of staff, house maintenance, and task assignments. Position provides multi-discipline engineering teams with strong technical and project leadership within a discipline, engineering section or for major engineering projects. Possesses and applies advanced knowledge and technical skills to solve complex engineering problems, or to plan and coordinate larger scale engineering projects or varied assignments requiring diverse knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Provides expert technical consultation and assessment on engineering problems and projects to engineering personnel. Serves as a management consultant on complex engineering problems and issues. Controls technical, financial and service commitments to internal or external customers. May perform independent research to find innovative and cost effective engineering solutions to operational problems. **Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience** The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that are required for entry into this job include the following: 7-8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including 5 years of Commercial nuclear power experience Experience with flux mapping, reactivity management, startup physics testing, fuel movement planning, new fuel receipt inspection, fuel handling support, Special Nuclear Material accounting, and online reactor core monitoring are highly preferred, but not required. A background with three loop Westinghouse ANC core design, BEACON, and TracWorks software is also preferred. Must have thorough communication knowledge and skills, and strong grasp of engineering principles and skills. Must be able to: plan, direct, coordinate overall engineering for specific projects, plan and direct engineering activities in support of nuclear operations with thorough focus on safety, analysis, problem solving, performance efficiency, availability, dependability, and budget/costs; performs field supervision of complex engineering projects, evaluate and approve design changes and modifications, review work and evaluate work of subordinate engineers, develops specifications, review and qualify complex project bids from a technical overview, perform or oversee performance test and system compatibility, performs short and long term condition assessment of components and systems, provides leadership, direction, development and guidance to employees within similar disciplined classification of engineering work groups.
