HIP is dedicated to achieving more effective, equitable housing policy at the local, state, and national levels. HIP advances policy through rigorous research, civic partnerships, and honest and inclusive planning processes. As a member of the HIP research team, the Senior Research Assocaite / Analyst will be responsible for managing discrete research projects and will contribute to HIP research reports, briefs, events, and communications. The Senior Research Associate / Analyst would manage the evaluation of two separate home repair programs: (1) Rebuilding Together Philadelphia's home repair work in West Philadelphia and (2) the Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation's Basic Systems Repair Program. The project team will measure the effectiveness of these programs at keeping people in their homes and at stabilizing and improving the health of Philadelphia's low-, moderate- and middle-income neighborhoods using both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The project will include: 1) qualitative analysis of stakeholder perspectives; 2) descriptive analysis of households and neighborhoods served; 3) impact analysis of home repair on neighborhood/block level housing stability and health outcomes; and 4) impact analysis of home repair on households directly served by programs.
