Summary of Essential Job FunctionsOperates all equipment needed for civil work (excavators, bobcats, etc.)Experience with building culverts, pump pads, roadways, and collecting soil reclamations. Constructing/pouring concrete, and layout and tying rebarObtain needed information or decisions from the superintendent on problems that come up during the work. Manage field crew in day-to-day tasks of projects.Complete and maintain work site paperwork to include, but not limited to, material requisitions, and daily/weekly job site inspection forms.Read and interpret blueprints, ISO's, filed installations, material takeoffs, and field sketches, and understand specifications.Inspect work progress and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications and adjust the work or plan schedules as required.Perform field take-offs for materials. Assist workers in their duties and resolve problems.Ensure that safety and housekeeping rules are followed.Assist other craft workers as needed.Additional responsibilities not listed may be required.Must be able to work overtime when required.RequirementAbility to supervise multiple employees.Ability to schedule projects and meet deadlines.Must have 10+ Minimum experience in Civil trade.Must be or be able to pass a Scaffolding Competent Person Training CourseMust be able to read civil construction prints.
