Risk Mitigation - project dispute, potential claims and litigation management and support on workplace investigation matters: Provide real time advice to internal GHD clients striving to de-risk project disputes Manage external counsel and liaise with insurers in conduct of GHD's errors and omissions litigation matters Prosecute and oversee GHD-driven claim matters (including advising and assisting on client non-payment, including coordinate collection efforts Report to GHD's Senior Counsel, US, in respect of claim status and regarding reserves for contingent liabilities C. General Legal Support Provide advice to internal GHD clients on various ad hoc legal, risk and compliance matters, including: legislative compliance; employment law and corporate policies; alternative project delivery; professional licensing; real estate; Federal contracting; intellectual property; privacy, data security, data management and data breach response, and anti-spam compliance; subpoena response; mergers and acquisitions; etc. Minimum Education, Requisite Training, and Certification and Professional Standing: Obtained Juris Doctor degree from an accredited US law school Licensed to practice law and an active member in good standing with the State Bar of the State of residence An approximate minimum of five years experience in a major law firm or combination of law firm and in-house legal department experience.
