RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Manassas, VA that is seeking a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer II that will be responsible for Data Center Engineering Operations within a Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting.Responsibilities: On-site management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance Work with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability and efficiency Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc. May assist in the design and build out of new facilities May assist in projects to increase current facility efficiency Responsible for asset and inventory management Assist in recruiting efforts; Deliver quality service and ensure all customer demands are metREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) degree and relevant experience 2-4 years of relevant work experience 2-4 years of management experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong leadership and organizational skills Strong attention to detail Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Responsible for providing engineering and technical support to plan, schedule, coordinate, and execute full life cycle commissioning of critical facilities, whilst under moderate supervision. This position is also responsible for participating in the MEP design process, witnessing and/or performing the static and dynamic testing of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems, and operating the system in normal, maintenance, and failure modes of operations. Typical equipment to be commissioned/types of daily tasks includes UPS (Uninterrupted Power Systems), power quality testing, breaker verifications, power distribution units, chillers, vaporative air handlers, etc.
