Your Primary Focus Perform daily field inspections of construction work and prepare daily work reports. Interpret construction drawings and specifications on construction projects. Determine if encountered field conditions require a change to the construction contract. Implement RFI's on submittals and shop drawings into real-world construction projects. Preform a wide variety or monitor materials testing, including concrete, aggregates, and density testing both in the field and lab settings. Track and record as-built information for incorporation into project record drawings. Communicate with the project team throughout the process. Demonstrate strong project organization skills. What You'll Need to Succeed 0-5 years of experience with local agency programs and DOT inspection experience. Capable of working as a team member with multiple disciplines. Certified Erosion, Sediment, and Storm Water Inspector (CESSWI) is a plus. Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) is a plus. OHM Advisors, the community advancement firm. Develop a project site logistics plan and work with project manager to determine method and sequencing of construction. Plans, directs, coordinates and budgets activities. Develop and maintain good working relationships with owner, subcontractors, and vendors. Communicate and promote safe working environment and company safety standards, with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations. Must be able to read plans and have a strong knowledge of various DOT specifications and standards. Assist Project Engineers in Shop Drawing and Submittal process. Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods. Schedule subcontractors in accordance to required work schedule, pump trucks and material deliveries, Inspect and verify the receipt or shipment of materials. Assist the Estimating Department in bidding opportunities and Preconstruction services.Minimum Qualifications 5+ years' related experience with large scale commercial or civil construction project operations required. Proficient with Outlook, Excel and Word is a plus.
