Provide confidential HIV and Hepatitis C outreach, testing, and linkage to community resources.Qualifications and experience:• High School degree and public speaking experience are required.• Experience working with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and/or diverse populations (substance abuse, mentally ill, homeless, crisis) preferred.• Valid Hawaii State Driver’s License with clean driving abstract.• Phlebotomy trained or willing to be trained.• CPR/AED/First Aid Certified or willing to be certified.• Must have the ability to correspond through email, refer to online schedules and databases.• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).• Must be able to complete Outreach Testing Linking (OTL) training provided by the State of Hawaii Department of Health.• Must be able to travel inter-island• Case Management experience required.Duties include but are not limited to:• Provide HIV/AIDS, STI, viral hepatitis prevention education.• Perform phlebotomy for all HIV and Hepatitis C preliminary positive patients and complete lab and the State’s Department of Health’s reporting requirements.• Develop working relationships with substance abuse treatment center staff including counselors, nurses, program coordinators, or others working directly and confidentially with patients.• Ensure all HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C positive patients are referred and scheduled for medical follow up after receiving test results.• Document all patient encounters, goals, progress, and complaints into Waikiki Health Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and route any pertinent chart notes to medical providers.• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.*Waikiki Health requires proof of the following immunization; with or without reasonable accommodation: TB skin test or chest x-ray, MMR, Hep B (optional).Those requiring assistance are encouraged to reach out to our organization at (808) 922-4787.
