Note: Employees who have taken and passed the Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) do not need to take the TECH. + Must pass the SRA Oral & Written Directions Test. + Ability to identify and distinguish different colors and color hues as required. + Must be able to lift and carry surveying equipment, tools, and field supplies. + Must be able to wear a backpack with survey equipment and walk over various terrains in field. + Be physically able to perform surveying work in undeveloped mountainous terrains and hazardous environments. Work in weather conditions ranging from hot, humid, windy, and rainy. + Must be able to fly in helicopters. + CL56 Survey Aide: + Must pass practical test and written job knowledge test on basic land surveying skills and knowledge. + CL58 Survey Technician: + Must pass a practical test covering computer-aided drafting, the use of a Total Station, data collector and related surveying equipment. + Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as Survey Aide or equivalent experience. + Must have or be able to qualify for a State of Hawaii driver’s license.
