The Sr. Material Handler is critical to our distribution of our pharmaceutical products within our production facility and distribution side in a safe manner.A day in the Life:Interacts with with incoming and outgoing carriersUnloads materials from manufacturing site and outside suppliersLoads materials for transfer to the all-warehouse locationsPrepares / provides carrier with paperwork necessary for shipments (i.e.: BOL, Packing list, labeling, MSDS sheets)Completes required SAP transactions to receive, transfer, store of goods issue materials.Stores materials as appropriate (i.e.: controlled temperature, rack vs floor, proper stack height, etc.)Maintains temperature and humidity chart recorders.Process orders for customers providing requested GMID, Batch and Qty.Responsible for processing small parcel Fed Ex shipmentsProcess HazMat and DG ShipmentsUses fork truck to move product.Delivers and coordinates inter office mail and deliveries.Keys to Success:EducationHigh School diploma or equivalent is requiredExperience2 years warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred2 years' or greater Forklift/PIT experienceKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesFork lift certification is preferred but will train to obtain certification upon hireAbility to multi-task, meeting tight deadlines in a fast paced environmentAbility to lift up to 50lbs and maneuver up to 100lbsAverage documentation and communication skills (verbal/written)Good interpersonal skills to work successfully with othersWilling to work overtime to accommodate demandsDemonstrated commitment to our fundamental principles of Integrity, Respect and ExcellenceProficiency with the English language.Computer skills, specifically SAP and Microsoft Office applications, a plusFamiliarity with DEA, FDA, Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices, a plusPhysical Requirements / Work EnvironmentOur Mission is to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.
